20 Description The initial word ויקרא at the beginning of the book of Leviticus is written in burnished gold within a panel of painted serrated foliate scrolls. On top of the panel, added by another, contemporary hand, are two large painted birds with intertwined necks, each one is holding a large foliated branch in its beak. The same hand added painted foliate scrolls below the panel.## The masorah magna in the outer margin outlines a large stylized flower, on top of which is a cock.## The masorah in the lower margin forms twisted lobed leaves protruding from short stylized stems.

20 Description The initial word ספר oddly placed at the beginning of the book of Deuteronomy, is written in burnished gold within a small panel with foliage scrolls. This panel is placed at the top of a three-sided, battlemented frame enclosing the first verses of the book. It is decorated with penwork of serrated foliate scrolls combined with painted palmettes and rosettes within circles.## The masorah in the outer margin outlines a stem with four protruding trilobed leaves. The masorah magna in the lower margin forms an interlacing fillet, with two leaves on each end.##

20 Description The initial word ויהי at the beginning of the book of Judges is written in burnished gold within a small panel of painted scrolls. It is surrounded by a large panel filled with dense penwork of serrated foliage scrolls combined with circles enclosing painted palmettes or knots.## The text is written within a recess in a trapezoid panel. It rests on another panel with a horse-shoe recess.## Attached to the panels, on the right, is a floriated bar interrupted by invected ovals which enclose the masorah parva.## The decorated masorah magna in the lower and outer margins outlines like trilobed leaves protruding from a stem.
