This is the only remaining fragment of the wall paintings in the prayer hall. It shows a white column, topped by a golden Corinthian capital. On the left and right sides of the column, painted frames are visible.

Judging from this fragment, it is possible to conclude that the prayer hall of the Great Beit Midrash was decorated by painted Corinthian columns throughout, including between each window. The painted frames may have contained some symbolic images or inscriptions.
