20 Description The Etrog container consists of a bowl and a stand. The openwork bowl is decorated with an alternate pattern of scrolls and leaves and it has an undulating rim. The stand has a round and raised base decorated with vertical bands. Two circumpheral bands are inscribed with an inscription. In square filled letters it reads: נעשה ממעות הצדקה ע"י)על ידי( האלופים קצינים גבאים ד'בה'כ)דבית הכנסת( ציגיינר בשנת ת'קפ'א לפ'ק)לפרט קטן( ה'ה הראש והקצין ר' וואלף לעקלס ר'ה י'ץ הקצין ר' מאיר ווילהרטיף. "Made with the charitable funds by the prominent, the eminent the Gabaim of the Synagogue of Tziginer in the year (5)581 (1821) the Great Rabbi the head and the eminent Rabbi Wolf Lakels, our Rabbi may his Rock protect him Rabbi Meir Wilhertiff".

The hallmark depicts a large letter F surmounted by a small letter B in a oval frame. This was a Austro Hungarian tax mark for large items used between 1810-1824. The letter B indicates the city of Prague. cf Divis, p.95 #564. 3. The letters AK in a oval frame. This is the mark of Anton Kaba who was active in Prague between 1814-1832. cf Hrasky, p.141 #186.

20 Description The Etrog container consists of a bowl and a stand. The openwork bowl is decorated with an alternate pattern of scrolls and leaves and it has an undulating rim. The stand has a round and raised base decorated with vertical bands. Two circumpheral bands are inscribed with an inscription. In square filled letters it reads: נעשה ממעות הצדקה ע"י)על ידי( האלופים קצינים גבאים ד'בה'כ)דבית הכנסת( ציגיינר בשנת ת'קפ'א לפ'ק)לפרט קטן( ה'ה הראש והקצין ר' וואלף לעקלס ר'ה י'ץ הקצין ר' מאיר ווילהרטיף. :HS : There are three hallmarks on the object: 1. The hallmark depicts the cypher 13 in a circle surmounted by the lettter B and flanked by the cypher 18?? in an arched frame. This is a Austro Hungarian authority mark used between 1825-1866. The letter B indicates the city of Prague. cf.Divis, p.222 #1901 2. The hallmark depicts a large letter F surmounted by a small letter B in a oval frame. This was a Austro Hungarian tax mark for large items used between 1810-1824. The letter B indicates the city of Prague. cf Divis, p.95 #564. 3. The letters AK in a oval frame. This is the mark of Anton Kaba who was active in Prague between 1814-1832. cf Hrasky, p.141 #186.
