The book cover is composed of a front and back cover. The front cover has a central rectangular panel with an inscription that reads: "This was donated by the sons of the society of the straight way in the year [5]602=1842". The rectangular panel is framed by a border decorated with foliate scrolls . There is a clasp attached to the border. A wider border frames the previous one, it is smooth and cocave and bears four leaves at the four corners. There are holes all around the border. The back cover has hooks soldered onto it.

:HS : There are two Hallmarks on the base of the object:1. The hallmark depicts the cypher 13 in a circle flanked by the cyphers 18?0 in an arched frame surmounted by the letter B. This is a Austro- Hungarian authority mark used between 1816-1861. The letter B indicates the city of Prague. cf Tardy, p.398. 2. The letters TH in an oval frame. This is the mark of Thomas Hopfel who was active between 1815-1847. cf Hrasky, p.140,no.160.

The book cover is composed of a front and back cover. The front cover has a central rectangular panel with an inscription that reads: "This was donated by the sons of the society of the straight way in the year [5]602=1842". The rectangular panel is framed by a border decorated with foliate scrolls . There is a clasp attached to the border. A wider border frames the previous one, it is smooth and cocave and bears four leaves at the four corners. There are holes all around the border. The back cover has hooks soldered onto it.
