The Torah ark was constructed as a monumental portal featuring blue and green colors and gilded decorative elements. Its top tier depicts two griffins supporting the Tablets of the Law. The Torah ark stands against a painted background (mural) depicting a red curtain with gold fringe inside a multicolored triple arch.

In addition to the lettering on the Tablets of the Law, the Torah ark composition contains two inscriptions:

 

1. שויתי יהוה לנגדי תמיד

Translation:

I have set the LORD always before me. [Psalm 16:8]

 

2. שיר המעלות לדוד שמחתי באמרים לי בית יי נלך

Translation

A song of the ascents. Of David. I was glad when they said to me: Let us go to the house of the LORD. [Psalm 122:1]
