The Torah shield is rectangular and topped with a semi-circular arch. The Torah shield bears a circular medallion in its center with an inscription in Hebrew and a branch with leaves. The inscription reads:
קדש ליי [=קודש לה']
"Dedicated to God".
The upper part of the Torah shield is decorated with a shape that might stand for Torah Crown or Mount Sinai (e.g. see decoration above the Torah ark in the synagogue in Abony, Hungary).
