The white Torah scroll binder is a long narrow cloth composed of four pieces. The cloth bears an inscription and printed illustrations in green,red,ochre,and blue. The inscription is written in square full letters and reads:

"נפתלי ]המכונה הירץ[ בר גדליה נולד במט )מזל טוב( יום א י טבת תקסח לפק השם יגדלו ]תורה צוה לנו תורה היא עץ חיים[ לתורה לחופה ולמעשים טובים א"ס )אמן סלה(.

" "Naftali (named Herz) Bar Gdalia borned in Good Luck on Sunday 10 Tevet (5)568 (1808)[Moses commanded us a law,Torah is the tree of life] May the Lord raise him to Torah,Hupah and to good deeds,amen selah"

The illustrations depict a deer,fish, an open torah scroll with a crown, a unicorn,a lion, a Hupa with the initials of Jer. 7:34.
