20 Description The picture represents a cubist depition of a still life. A brown strip of paper with a Hebrew inscription: "Aleph Bet", is affixed diagonally to the top right corner of the canvas. Two fragments of a page of brown paper with an image of a religious Jew standing, reading from a book are affixed to the lower left corner. He stands by a round, one-legged table and is surrounded by another Hebrew incription: "The righteous rabbi, 'shin', 'nun'." At the center of the composition betweeen these two inscriptions are facets with images of a kiddush cup, a candle and mazot and a black square inscribed with a black Hebrew letter "shin". A white strip of lace is attached to the lower right corner, as if defining the edge of the table, on which stand the objects. The Hebrew letter "lamed" is depicted in the lower right corner below the lace and a strip of wall paper is attached to the top right corner. A crown form is affixed to the upper left corner.
