20 Description The wooden Torah^case consists of a body and a coronet.##The body is round, and composed of 20 vertical strips. The body is made of plain wood.Carved annulets encircle the upper and lower borders of the body. Two friezes are attached to the upper and lower borders. Brass buttons are attached to the upper border. Arch-shaped silver plaques are attached to the centre of the case opening. They bear a dedicatory inscription surmounted by a single flower on each plaque. Above and below the plaques, cut-out and engraved silver foliate patterns are nailed to the case on either side of the center-front opening. The case is closed by a silver clasp set on a floral base ## Two pairs of metal hinges are located at the center back of the case. The inner face is plain wood and twenty-faceted. Friezes at the top and bottom are carved with foliate patterns covered with silver paint, and bordered by geometric wooden annulets. There are two oval hand holders. The center inside center back bears two small, wooden plaques. The one at the bottom is carved and painted with a flower, while the one on the top is carved and painted with the inscription: !שדי! !Shadai! Two insert holes for the rods are at top of the case. The coronet is round, and composed of twenty pieces. It is carved with an openwork lily-like pattern. The dedicatory inscriptions are engraved on horizsontal lines,in arch-shaped frames. The right-hand plaque reads: !זאת התורה##זכה וברה##צרופה וטהורה##כשמש מאירה##אספקלרייה##המאירה הקורה##יראה! !This is the Torah##clear and chosen##refined and pure##illuminating like the sun##a mirror##that enlightens the reader##awe.!##The inscription on the left-hand plaque reads: !אורה ווי עמודים##כשורה למנוחת##הבחור ה!ר##כלאפו רקח##לג!ע נלקח##ביום מרן טוב##לקח ש! תרע!ה! !The light of the hooks and the columns##prepared for the repose of##the youth the Rabbi (in initials) ##Klafo Rekah##to the Garden of Eden (in initials) taken##on the day of good Maran ??## took year (in initial) (5)675 (1915)!

20 Description The wooden Torah^case consists of a body and a coronet.##The body is round, and composed of 20 vertical strips. The body is made of plain wood.Carved annulets encircle the upper and lower borders of the body. Two friezes are attached to the upper and lower borders. Brass buttons are attached to the upper border. Arch-shaped silver plaques are attached to the centre of the case opening. They bear a dedicatory inscription surmounted by a single flower on each plaque. Above and below the plaques, cut-out and engraved silver foliate patterns are nailed to the case on either side of the center-front opening. The case is closed by a silver clasp set on a floral base ## Two pairs of metal hinges are located at the center back of the case. The inner face is plain wood and twenty-faceted. Friezes at the top and bottom are carved with foliate patterns covered with silver paint, and bordered by geometric wooden annulets. There are two oval hand holders. The center inside center back bears two small, wooden plaques. The one at the bottom is carved and painted with a flower, while the one on the top is carved and painted with the inscription: !שדי! !Shadai! Two insert holes for the rods are at top of the case. The coronet is round, and composed of twenty pieces. It is carved with an openwork lily-like pattern. The dedicatory inscriptions are engraved on horizsontal lines,in arch-shaped frames. The right-hand plaque reads: !זאת התורה##זכה וברה##צרופה וטהורה##כשמש מאירה##אספקלרייה##המאירה הקורה##יראה! !This is the Torah##clear and chosen##refined and pure##illuminating like the sun##a mirror##that enlightens the reader##awe.!##The inscription on the left-hand plaque reads: !אורה ווי עמודים##כשורה למנוחת##הבחור ה!ר##כלאפו רקח##לג!ע נלקח##ביום מרן טוב##לקח ש! תרע!ה! !The light of the hooks and the columns##prepared for the repose of##the youth the Rabbi (in initials) ##Klafo Rekah##to the Garden of Eden (in initials) taken##on the day of good Maran ??## took year (in initial) (5)675 (1915)!
