20 Description The rectangular Torah^mantle consists of a cloak and a lining. The bordeaux cloth is decorated at its centre with the Tablets^of^covenant inscribed with the opening words of the Decalogue on a blue background.The Tablets are flanked by two enlonghted pillars decorated with stems and grapes topped by a crown. The bottom part is decorated with a star. Underneath the Tablets there is a depiction of the show bread table and beside it a basin.The cenral lower part is decorated with a seven branched Menorah.

The Torah^mantle underwent restoration in 1978 by Anat Michaeli from Jerusalem.The mantle's decorations were removed and placed in a rectangular piece of cloth.
