20 Description The silver Torah^pointer consists of an upper joint, an upper arm, a middle joint, a forearm, a cuff, and a hand. The upperarm is cylindrical and made of filigree in a floral and foliate pattern laid over a solid cylinder. The upper arm is surmounted by a spheroid upper joint decorated with a lobed filigree pattern laid over a copper sphere. A horizontal copper ring encircles the center of the joint. A chain hangs from a mobile loop inserted through a stationary ring at the end of the upper joint. Between the upper arm and the forearm there is a spheroid middle joint decorated with a lobed filigree pattern laid over a brass sphere. A horizontal brass ring encircles the center of the joint. The middle joint is attached to a cylindrical forearm which consists of a tube fitted over a solid central rod. The top of the tube is crenelated, below which are three incised horizontal lines. Below the bands are sawed vertical rectangles with rounded ends. The forearm terminates in a crenelated cuff decorated with two incised horizontal lines and a corrugated band. The pointer ends in a clenched hand with a crooked index finger wearing a ruby ring.
