20 Description The tower shaped wooden mezuzah cover consists of one unit. Its decorations are divided in sections, starting from the bottom upwards. The lower part bears an openworked flower-like pattern within a square frame. Right above appears a pair of cylindrical columns with stepped bases and double doric-like capitals, each topped by a globular unit. The columns flank an arched small window frame, upon a plain background. This section is backened by a plain rectangular supporter with a drop-like end, separated from the front. The upper section is a square decorated with two birds facing each other flanked by geometrical patterns surmounted by a hollow circle in the middle of a ribbed rectangle. It is topped by a double-fenced balcony surmounted by an apex in the shape of two spreaded-winged birds facing in. Both sides of the mezuzah bear inscriptions vertically set. The inscriptons are composed of two words in square filled and protruding letters which appear each on one side of the mezuzah, reading from top to bottom: "מזוזת##ביתך" "Your home Mezuzah."
