Description |
Sarai, Abram's young and beautiful wife is depicted as a heavily dressed girl at the court of the Pharoh. She is covered with a thick woolen overcoat and tall head-gear worn over an oriental cap. She lifts a woolen scarf in order to cover her face, as is the custom among women in conservative middle eastern society. On the wall behind her there is a mural depicting Pharoh sitting on his throne alongside other egyptian-style imagery. |
