Alexander Altman is standing and singing. He is wearing a cape with a huge black bow-tie, a pointed hat, and in his left hand he holds a pair of socks. The white cape covers most of his body and beside his extended hand only his legs are showing. Inscriptions- at the top of the page written in French: "Alexander Altman quand il vendait des chaussettes il chantait" translating to Alexander Altman when he sold socks, he sang." At the bottom of the page also in French: "par la suite il est devenu bien connu a Paris" which translates to "Eventually he became well known in Paris."
