19 Remarks
20 Description The picture represents a scene of Shimon-Ele, expeled from the home, and the goat wandering along the shtetl at night. In the center of the composition there is a figure of the "bewitched tailor" going away from the left to the right. His tall crooked figure is turned to the left towards the goat dragging himself along. The moon brightly lightens the back of the tailor, a part of a street and the walls of the shtetl houses with black ridged roofs situated on the background. The figures of the tailor and of the goat cast long shadows. The lightened pieces are covered with white gouache, the shadows and the clouds are made with light diagonal hatches, some pieces are inked in; however, the most part of the leaf is left untouched.
