20 Description A full-page rectangular ground plan of "the measure of the >Heikhal> according to its length and width." The "West" is at the top, "East" is at the bottom, "South" on the left. Its overall size is "100 >amah>" wide and "100 >amah>" in length. The >Heikhal> comprises 3 parts: the Hall, the Holy Place, and the Holy of Holies. The outlines are blue bands, decorated in dusty gold outlined in black. All the inscriptions are on the bare parchment within the elongated compartments. "The wall of the Hall surrounds the >Heikhal> on three of its sides as we designed". It is inscribed within both sides of the lower part of the surrounding hall: on the right זהו כותל האולם והוא סובב סובב on the left סובב את ההיכל משלש רוחותיו כמו שצרנו The width of the wall on the right and the left is "Five", "Five >amot>" and ">amot> five". The gap between the 2 bottom walls "is the (great) gate of the Hall, 20 >amah> wide". Above it is the "Hall" אולם The inscription above the Hall is related to the gate of the Holy Place, "the width of this gate is ten". On either side of the central קדש "Holy Place" are passages and walls, each passage with a different inscription, from right to left 1. עשר "This is where the Hall exceeds the >Heikhal> and it is called >Beit Ha@halifot>". The width of this passage is "ten". Both inscriptions are repeated on the extreme left 2. חמש "This place is called the wall of >mesibah>". "Five". 3. שלש "This place is called >mesibah>." "Three" 4. חמש "This place is called >Ta> and it surrounds the entire house." "Five". 5. שש "Six". 6. There is a gap for a gate inscribed מכאן נכנס להיכל "From here he enters the >Heikhal>". 7. כותל ההיכל "wall of the >Heikhal>". The walls on the left of the >Heikhal> are inscribed from right to left 8. שש "and this is the wall of the >Heikhal>." "Six". 9. חמש "This is the cell >Ta> which surrounds the entire house." "Five". 10. "This is the wall of the >Ta>." "Five". 12. וזה המקום נקרא כותל ואינו לוו' ]שווה[ לדבר אחר "This place is called the wall and is not like anything else". 13. It repeats from the other side, No. 1. In the center is the entrance to the Holy with a gap called בין שני השערים "between the 2 gates". To the right of this gap are 2 compartments and one on the left, each inscribed שש "Six". Above the gap, the area is inscribed twice דלת. חמש "The door is five." To the right of the gate, the area is inscribed רוו? שש "[width] of the wall." "Six".
