The decoration program of Orla synagogue included: four animals from Pirkei Avot on the western wall, animals, birds, garlands, grapevines, trees, fruits and flowers and ornamentation on the eastern wall, and emphasis of the architectural design on the arches, columns, pendentives and pilasters.
The decoration of the upper part of round columns included garlands, fruit baskets, pheasants and peacocks sitting on the rings, ribbons, and rosettes.
This kind of decor was very characteristic of the neoclassical style, thus it directly relates to the first half of the 19th century. The pilasters are decorated with a delicate floral decoration of green and purple clusters of grapes and leaves and a small floral pattern.
