20 Description The gable of the entrance facade of the synagogue is composed, of two architectural elements:frieze and cornice. The center of the frieze below the apex of the pediment,is decorated with an eagle.The eagle is (carved in high relief) flanked by simmetrical acanthus leaves and two medallions. From the acanthus leaves a jamping lion is emerging. The medallion on the left is centered by a leaf.The medallion in the right is centered by a blossom. The cornice above the frize is decorated with formal and plant motifs on angled mouldings.From bottom to top:egg-and-dart,dentils and bed-and-reel.The coffers are decorated with blossoms.The consoles are shaped like acanthus leaves.The cyma is decorated with acanthus leaves and palmettes.
