20 Description

"כתר תורה" "כתר כהונה" "כתר מלכות"

The two leveled silver Torah crown consists of a main part, a crest and an apex. Each level is composed of a base and arms.

The lower level as the main part, has a coronet like base, composed of a circumferal band which bears three inscribed plaques (based on verses from Mishnah Avot 4:13). Each plaque is flanked by a pair of animals and is surmounted by an eagle. The first plauqe reads: "This is the crown of the Law". The plaque is flanked by a unicorn on the right side and by a deer on the left side. The second plaque reads: "The crown of priesthood". It is flanked by a unicorn on the right side and by a griffon on left. The last plaque reads: "The crown of Kingship". This plaque is flanked by a unicorn on the right side and by a lion on left. The animals and the plaques are intertwined in a background of a foliate and floral pattern. Six arms that widen in the centre, are attached to the base. They are decorated by a intertwined scroll and a central flower. The arms are joined together on top by a cut-dome. A petal from which bells hang, is attached to the cut-dome between the arms. The crest repeats the shpe and pattern of the main part but lack the animals, the inscription and the bells. It is surmounted by an apex in a pattern of a stem with branches of leaves and flowers.
