20 Description

The silver gilded Torah shield is rectangular and terminates with a semi circular arch.A Torah ark is depicted in the centre,it has two doors decorated with a rhomboid pattern.The inner part depicts a Torah scroll surmounted by a Star of David.Two rampant lions,facing backwards and revealing their tongue flank the Torah ark. It is surmounted by a pair of hands topped by a crown. Two symmetrical pillars with square bases,vegetal capitals and twisting snakes are depicted at the sides. The lower part is decorated with a double headed eagle and flowers. The Torah shield is surrounded by an internal raised line with flat and blank edges.

1. The hallmark depicts the cypher: '12'. It is a quality mark ussed in different places in Europe, by itself it is unidetified.
The hallmark depicts an oval form with diagonal lines and a horizontal line in the center. It is unidentified.
