The gilded flower shaped spice container consists of a receptacle an apex and a stand.## The bud is pear shaped. The upper half contains dot incisions which form a row of circles with a dot in their center. A row of petals tops the body. The apex is a spread winged bird. The receptacle is supported by a stand composed of a shaft and a base. The base is a square with convex sides decorated with a foliate scroll. The shaft surmounts the base and is in the shape of a leaved and budded stem.

There are four hallmarks located on the base of the object.
1. An unclear assaye mark in a round frame.
2. The hallmark with two initials (the first is unclear) "?T" with the date 1844 under the line in a rectangular frame. An unclear Russian assaye.
3. Figures "84" in a square frame. Russiam quality mark in the 18th-19th centuries. Was used in all territory of the Empire including Poland (for Poland from 1851-1896). s.f. Postuikova-losseva, M., 1983, p. 148, no.12

4. Three initials (the first unclear) ?"GE" in a rectangular frame--unidentified Russian artist, active in 1844.
