20 Description The depiction of a tigress occupies the right medallion of the eighth row from the top. The tigress is depicted leaping, in profile, facing the central medallion. Its hind legs are stretched out backwards, while its front legs are stretched forwards. The four legs and the head protrude out from the medallion's frame.

The tesserae are made of limestone and marble. They are laid in curved lines within the figure and in straight parallel lines in the background.
The tigress is surrounded by one line of black tesserae. The tigress, grapes and leaves are surrounded by one line of background tesserae.
The average number of tesserae per 10cm2 is (10x10). The highest density is found in the tigress' head: (13x12).
Various hues of red and yellow are used, aside from the different hues of black and white.
