The biblical text in the center of the page is surrounded by the Massorah magna and parva, the Targum in the inner margin and in the three outer margins by Rashi's commentary. In the left margin the flow of Rashi's text is cut off at the center creating two short columns which apexes facing inward. Enclosed between them is a micrographic human face hybrid with hood looking back.
Above the right Massorah parva is a micrographic stylized tree with ten branches on either side. This may allude to the flanking texts: "And thou shalt make staves for the altar, staves of shittim wood" (Ex. 27:6).
The Massorah on top terminates in a triangle faces to the left and at the bottom in a vertical zig-zag line.
