Fol. 239v by Illuminator E: The initial word איתן (Eitan) opening the piyyut of the afternoon service for the Day of Atonement (Davidson 1924–1933, א 3204) is enclosed within a rectangular panel, decorated with two fish and heads of a bird and two dogs, mostly in spared-ground technique on a washed off blue-green ground. The letters are in flaked-off silver on a brown ground.
