Fol. 162, by Illuminator D: The initial word King מלך), Melekh) opening the yozer of the morning service for the first day of the New Year (Davidson 1924–1933, מ 1529) is enclosed within a rectangular panel decorated with a dragon, three fish and acanthus scrolls which frame the letters, on a washed-off blue-green ground. Many elements of the decoration are in spared-ground technique. The silver of the letter has mostly flaked off revealing its brown ground.
