20 Description

Fol. 63v (wrongly bound): A beardless Aaron is standing behind Moses, who is also beardless. Aaron holds a spotted green serpent, which is swallowing three small serpents - the magicians' rods (Ex. 7:12). Pharaoh and two of his attendants are on the left. Inscribed on top: ויבא משה ואהרן אל פרעה ויעשו כן כאשר צוה השם וישלך אהרן את מטהו לפני פרעה ולפני/ עבדיו ויהי לתנין. '...Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh... and Aaron cast down his rod... and it became a serpent' (Ex. 7:10).
