Fol. 44v: In the open landscape a shepherd is sitting on the ground, holding a flute in both hands ready to play; next to him are lying two rams and two ewes. The shepherd wears a tunic and has a satchel.

The caption above reads: "Image of the shepherd tending and counting his flock, ‘he lieth under the shady trees in the covert of the reeds’" (Job 40:21; צורת הרועה רועה עדרו ומונה, תחת צאלים ישכב בסתר קונה; Loewe 2004, II:355).
