Each letter is surrounded by alternating red and brown wriggle work with foliage extensions.
The wriggle work of the fourth initial word Then (ואז) incorporates above the first letter a dragon's head with a foliate tongue; the upper part of the first three letters of the next initial word Holy (קדוש) the incorporates heads of a bird, a deer and a dragon. (Cf. II:43v, 129).
