Art Alone
© Center for Jewish Art, Photographer: Radovan, Zev, 08.1995
A wooden ship is represented floating from the left to the right and into the depth. It enters a bay or a strait. There are no people on its board. A rainbow is leapt over the water in the right part of the drawing. In the upper left part there is a bright star or a sun. The parallel rows of waves cover the sea surface. The coasts are rocky. On the left one and in the distance there are simple stone buildings. A winding band is drawn in the central upper part above the ship. Such bands in old engravings were destined for inscription.
