Description |
Vol. II, fol. 368v: Combined large initial word panel of red filigree includes the initial words of the four successive Positive Percepts: ”To judge with the value of (from top to bottom) human / animal / houses / fields”, (לדון בערכי: אדם / בהמה / בתים / שדות), written in display script within a panel. Each percept is written in display script in two lines, the word of the second line in smaller display script (the last one of which was forgotten outside the panel). They are flanked by a pair of green and magenta medallions enclosing two-legged hybrids and a duck in spared ground technique. Red flourishes extend from the panel into the margins. |
