Description |
The initial word, אכתיר, "I will crown," opening the piyut recited on the first morning of Sukkot, אכתיר זר תהילה לנורא עלילה, is written in large bold dispaly script at the top of the text space. The word is partially framed by an arch, filled with a foliate scroll motif. The arch rests on a winged griffen depicted on the left and the head of a fantastic dog on the right. Within the arch, above the initial word, are two fantastic birds combatting. |
